Abstract

Currently, research is ongoing in the world to improve the results of surgical treatment of patients with gangrene of the lower extremities against the background of diabetes mellitus, which is associated with the steady growth of this population of patients, ambiguity of approaches in surgical tactics and unsatisfactory treatment results. The need to further investigate the clinical aspects of this pathology is undeniable, and the emergence of modern diagnostic methods, new enduscular minimally invasive technologies and a modern idea of the pathogenesis of the development of critical ischemia allow us to study the problem of treating complicated forms of diabetic foot syndrome from a new perspective of surgery. Based on the above, the problem of choosing therapeutic and diagnostic tactics, the stage of surgical interventions and the prevention of complications in patients with diabetic gangrene of the lower extremities is extremely relevant both from a scientific and practical point of view
