This article analyzes the stages of formation and development of the system for training economic personnel in Uzbekistan. In particular, the evolution of the economic education system during 1920–1960 and in the modern period is highlighted through the activities of various universities. In this article, the stages of the formation of the economic education system are analyzed using the historical method. Through the comparative method, the system of economic education during the Soviet period, the early years of independence, and the modern period is studied
