Structure of the heart and blood vessels: Anatomical differences between arteries and veins
Keywords:
heart, artery, vein, blood vesselAbstract
The cardiovascular system is one of the most important systems in the human body, delivering oxygen and nutrients to all cells of the body. This scientific article analyzes the anatomical structure, functional features, and differences between arteries and veins. The study examined the layers of the blood vessel walls, the level of elasticity, the effect of blood pressure, and the presence of valves. The results showed that arteries have thick, elastic walls that carry blood from the heart to the organs under high pressure, while veins have thinner walls and valves that help return blood to the heart. The study is important for understanding and preventing cardiovascular disease.
