Abstract

This article analyzes the theoretical foundations of the concept of algorithmic thinking, its role in the modern educational system, and effective methods for its development. Algorithmic thinking is the ability to analyze a problem step-by-step, decompose it into logical parts, and develop a solution based on a precise sequence. In today’s digital society, this skill is of critical importance not only in programming or information technology but also in economics, engineering, natural sciences, and social spheres. The article substantiates the effectiveness of methods such as problem-based learning, project-based learning, solving logic puzzles, working with flowcharts, and utilizing programming environments in shaping algorithmic thinking. Furthermore, practical recommendations are provided to foster independent and systemic reasoning in students. Research results indicate that developing algorithmic thinking at an early stage enhances educational quality and strengthens digital competencies
