Abstract

Academic stress has become one of the most significant psychological problems among medical university students due to intensive educational demands, high academic workload, emotional pressure, and continuous professional responsibility. Prolonged exposure to academic stress may negatively affect students’ emotional well-being and contribute to the development of emotional burnout syndrome. The present study investigates the relationship between academic stress and emotional burnout among medical university students. Particular attention was devoted to the influence of academic overload, examination anxiety, sleep disturbances, and psychological fatigue on emotional exhaustion and academic motivation.
