Abstract

Age-related changes in joint structures represent an important aspect of musculoskeletal pathology, particularly in women, where hormonal, metabolic, and biomechanical factors influence tissue degeneration. The menisci of the knee joint play a critical role in load distribution, joint stability, and shock absorption. With increasing age, structural and compositional alterations occur in meniscal tissue, contributing to degenerative joint diseases.
