Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by systemic inflammation and joint damage. In recent years, it has been found that a large proportion of patients with rheumatoid arthritis develop insulin resistance, suggesting that this condition is a combination of immune and metabolic disorders. Studies show a clear link between rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and insulin resistance (IR). Chronic inflammation in RA contributes to the development of carbohydrate metabolism disorders, making IR a common comorbid condition
